Group Classes

All Levels Running Group to Support the Movement for Black Lives.

Come join a supportive, body-positive, non-competitive running group that will train for a variety of races (5K, 10K or Half Marathon) in the Berkeley Half Marathon Running Festival in November.

Emphasis in coaching will be given to first time/ beginning runners and people coming back after a hiatus in running. We will build up slowly with walk/run intervals to build stamina gradually and reduce the risk of injury. More advanced runners will be given a self-guided training plan.


50% of the proceeds for this group will go to The Movement for Black Lives, which is an umbrella site that funnels donations to Black Lives Matter chapters and affiliated organizations nationwide.  In addition, each member is encouraged to fundraise as part of their race training.

9 week group
September 21st – Nov. 19th
Wednesdays from 6-7pm at Lake Merritt (intersection of Grand & Harrison)
Saturdays from 9-10am in various locations

Race Day: Sunday, Nov. 20th

We will have one fundraising meeting on Sat., Oct. 1st at 9:30am with a grassroots fundraising coach.


$200 for 2 days/ week$100 for Wed or Sat. only
