Health Coaching

I am proud to now offer health coaching as a part of my practice.  Health coaching is a client-centered approach, offering support, guidance, inspiration, and perspective to you as you define your health goals and make changes in your life.   Together we can explore issues such as: relationship with food, exercise, and body image, addressing chronic health conditions, and working towards overall wellness goals.

I believe each of us has a deep inner wisdom, and sometimes we need facilitation to tap into it. In our work together, we get past “shoulds” and information overload and connect with what is right for you. I offer support in a safe and non-judgmental environment, and I help you make changes that will be sustainable, habitual, and long lasting– not just a “quick fix.”

How do I get started?

Free intake and consultation: We begin with 15-30 minute phone call to talk about what you’re interested in working on, and get a sense of how we would work best together.  From there, you can sign up for one of the monthly packages below.  Get in touch here to set up your appointment.

My qualifications

I am a Masters student in Holistic Health Education at John F. Kennedy University, and I have completed a three-course series in health coaching, including a practicum course.

I am a Health Coach at Lantern, a online program providing support for emotional well-being.

I have also studied functional nutrition, integrative wellness, and environmental health, all of which inform my coaching practice.

I have completed training in Motivational Interviewing through the Be Nourished Institute.

Some areas I work in

Transforming relationship with food, exercise, and/or body image

It is hard to live our lives when we are at war with our bodies.  In health coaching, I support you in discovering ways of eating and moving that are nourishing, loving, and aligned with your body’s own internal cues (even if it takes some time to find what those internal cues are). We work together to understand habitual patters, transform negative self-talk, explore notions of beauty, and find enjoyment in eating.

Chronic conditions

Many people struggle with chronic conditions such as autoimmune diseases, chronic fatigue, and metabolic conditions that are a result of many different factors and don’t always have an easy explanation or quick solution.

In health coaching, I support you in discovering and implementing the self-care practices and routines that are most helpful to you in addressing your symptoms. We work together to gain a deeper understanding of your particular situation, including triggers and causes, and to help you advocate for what you need from loved ones and healthcare professionals.

Find greater physical, emotional, and spiritual balance

Sometimes, life can feel out of balance whether it is in the realm of physical health, relationships, finances, sleep, stress management, etc. Working with me as a coach can help you explore each of these issues, develop your own personalized wellness plan, and discover more ease and authenticity in all areas of your life.
